1. Respect Everyone
- Be polite and courteous to riders and employees.
- Give up priority seats to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- No harassment: No threats, yelling, or inappropriate behavior.
- Respect personal space: Keep your items under control.
2. Stay Safe
- Pay attention to your surroundings.
- Follow staff instructions for emergencies or safety concerns.
- Don’t block aisles, doors, or exits.
- Prohibited items: No weapons, flammable materials, or dangerous objects.
- Only service animals or animals in carriers allowed.
3. Keep It Clean
- No littering, spitting, or creating messes.
- Food and drinks must be in closed containers.
- No smoking, vaping, or alcohol use.
4. Respect the Ride
- Pay your fare before boarding.
- No eating or drinking while onboard.
- No loud noises: Use headphones for sound devices.
- Walk bicycles and scooters through stations, and store them properly.
5. What’s Not Allowed
- No disruptive behavior: Fighting, loud noises, or profanity.
- No loitering: Metro spaces are for transit purposes only.
- No selling or soliciting without a permit.
- Don’t hang, climb, or vandalize Metro facilities.
6. Accessibility Rules
- Priority seating is reserved for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Use elevators for strollers, wheelchairs, and carts.
- Wheelchairs and service animals are welcome.
7. Consequences
- Written Warnings: For first-time, non-serious violations.
- Fines: $75 for adults, $40 for minors (with options to reduce through Metro Transit School (English /Spanish) or community service).
- Ejection: You may be removed from Metro vehicles or facilities for violations.
- Exclusion: Repeated offenses can result in a ban of up to 90 days
